Bachelor Study Programmes

A shorter form of higher education, oriented on practical professional profile of graduates as well as on preparation of students to study in follow-up master’s degree programme.

  • Mechanical Engineering (4 years; 8 semesters) – The programme has 4 fields of study
  • Theoretical fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering (3 years; 6 semesters) – The programme has no field of study, preparation for master’s study
  • Production and Economics in Mechanical Engineering (3 years; 6 semesters) – The programme has 1 field of study

This programme can be attended as part-time and full-time. The first three years are common for the bachelor´s programme “Mechanical Engineering” and “Theoretical Fundamental of Mechanical Engineering”.

The academic title “bachelor” (Bc. – written before the person´s name) is awarded upon graduation after passing the State Final Examination and defence of the Bachelor’s thesis. This degree is recognized worldwide.

The graduates of the programme may continue studying in one of the follow-up master´s degree programmes upon passing an admission exam. The graduates of the programme “Theoretical Fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering” do not have to take the admission exam.
